Letterman apologizes

Hi,

David Letterman, a comedian, apologized to his wife on Monday on air. He had sexual relationships with some of his staff members. His affairs were revealed last Thursday. He didn't want to make any comments to the incident but when he saw that many were mad at him especially his wife, he wanted to apologize to everyone.

The words he used on air to apologize to his wife were "she had been horribly hurt and I’ve got my work cut out for me." But he didn't only apologize to his wife he felt the need to apologize to some of his staff. He said “I’m terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position.” He also thanked the staff for being supportive and for “putting up with something stupid I’ve gotten myself involved in.”

Hopefully Letterman learned his lesson and I hope the best for him.

  1. I hope the best for his family. He screwed up, but if they are willing to give him a chance, that's great! One way or the other, things will never be the same in his family. Time will tell how it will affect his show.

  2. I haven't kept up with the whole Letterman ordeal, but I did hear about it. I think it's good that he apologized but then again he really didn't have much of a choice. I agree with Brian too though, I wonder if it will affect his show in any kind of way.

  3. Of coarse he apologized, he had no other choice. He should have thought a little harder before he went screwing around. He should have know that this was eventually going to get out. I feel so bad for his wife and the people who care about him most.
