Hi,
Dockers, a man's casual pants brand, is trying to bring khaki back. Many young men consider Dockers to be an old school look. So Dockers is trying to bring them back by making them in different colors and fits.
The campaign will start to advertise on Tuesday through radio, print, poster, and online: even on the Super Bowl comercials.
I think it's good to make different fits for pants. Nowadays people wear different styles of Jeans/pants. Making them in different colors will also help the company a lot. Despite the multiple competitive brands, Dockers think they can pull this off.

I think that a current trend in fashion is going back to old looks that were once popular. Everyone knows that vintage is in, and imitating styles from past decades is the thing to do. You don't really see any advertisements for Dockers anymore, but I think they are a piece of Americana and will do well. People often get nostalgic for the way things were, and bringing back this item of the past is a good idea.

ReplyDeleteI have to say I have never in my life seen a Dockers ad, and I have to admit I even had to google Dockers to get a clear image of what they looked like. I think the problem is not the old school look, but rather their lack of advertising. I think they need to get more involved with new technologies like Facebook, in order to appeal to younger people.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely something Dockers can pull off, but doing Super Bowl commercials? I guess they really are serious about making a comeback. Can't wait to see how their approach.
